American Behavioral has three (3) Residential Treatment Programs with a capacity of 550+ licensed treatment beds, including co-occurring treatment for clients.
In our residential treatment program, you’ll work on building new skills and developing coping mechanisms to assist you in navigating through your new life without substances. Individuals admitted to the program can expect a length of treatment stay from 15 days to 180 days depending on needs and program funding source.
INTENSIVE
Treatment modalities used within our intensive residential treatment program include therapeutic community, emotional interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, group counseling, psychoeducation, case management, and individual counseling. Services provided by a Chemical Dependency Professional are between 5 and 20 hours a week depending on assessed level of care.
During your stay, you’ll be surrounded by well-trained clinicians who understand what you’re going through and care deeply about your success. They’ll support you every step of the way with guidance, encouragement, and opportunities to empower yourself.
Medication assisted treatment can be received if patients have been screened and found appropriate. A family nurse practitioner and/or psychiatric nurse practitioner can be provided weekly as needed for screening of common medical problems to help improve success of treatment.

CO-OCCURRING DISORDER
A co-occurring disorder is when an addiction to drugs or alcohol is accompanied by a mental or emotional disorder. The path for recovery begins with comprehensive treatment for both disorders.
