Secure Acute Withdrawal Management Services: *ASAM 3.7, Medically Assisted Withdrawal, Opioid Withdrawal, Alcohol and Amphetamines Withdrawal, Benzodiazepine and Barbiturate Withdrawal *ASAM 3.7 is a level of care for substance abuse treatment that provides 24-hour nursing care with physician supervision and medication availability. *Acute – Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) safely manages the acute physical symptoms of withdrawal associated with stopping substance use. We may prescribe medication to minimize your discomfort; the average stay in our acute program is 7-10 days. Detox is the first step toward recovery. We’ve created a comfortable, nurturing space where you can focus on your goal of cleansing your body of all harmful substances. You will get all the support you need from our team throughout your stay, and during your transition to the next step. American Behavioral has two (2) Acute Withdrawal Management Service locations with a total of 31 beds, all with 24-hour monitoring. Our licensed medical professionals will guide you through the detox process in the safest way possible. It can take an average 5-7 days to flush the chemicals from your body, and up to 14 days for more severe cases. Once you attain physical stability, clients meet with a Substance Abuse Professional for assessment and referral services. This can include direct referrals to a Residential Treatment Program.
